Papier Tigre : nouvel album ‘The Screw’ + dates octobre/novembre
‘The Screw’ c’est 9 chansons rentrées à coups de poings sur un disque bref et net comme un lancer de freesbee. C’est surtout le nouvel album de Papier Tigre, gang teigneux qui s’y connait pour redonner à entendre le post-punk comme un geste premier. Il faut l’écouter avec la même joie mauvaise qu’on a à voir

BIO
PAPIER TIGRE is a trio formed in Nantes in 2006.
Unique and sharp in its aesthetic, the group’s minimalist music is nonetheless highly percussive and engaging. Influenced by the ethos of Minutemen and Fugazi, the experimentation of This Heat and Sonic Youth, and the efficiency of Jesus Lizard and Nirvana, the band has forged a reputation for itself on stage with marathon tours all over the world (Europe, USA, Latin America, Asia) and prestigious invitations (ATP Festival). A distinctive sound that has evolved through 4 albums (notably ‘The Beginning and End of Now”, the last album recorded by Iain Burgess, founder of the legendary Black Box studio, and ‘Recreation’, recorded at Albini’s Electrical Audio with John Congleton) and over 700 concerts, not to mention the many side projects (La Colonie de Vacances, Spelterini, Claptrap…) that give this hyperactive trio even more to grind.

BIO
PAPIER TIGRE is a trio formed in Nantes in 2006.
Unique and sharp in its aesthetic, the group’s minimalist music is nonetheless highly percussive and engaging. Influenced by the ethos of Minutemen and Fugazi, the experimentation of This Heat and Sonic Youth, and the efficiency of Jesus Lizard and Nirvana, the band has forged a reputation for itself on stage with marathon tours all over the world (Europe, USA, Latin America, Asia) and prestigious invitations (ATP Festival). A distinctive sound that has evolved through 4 albums (notably ‘The Beginning and End of Now”, the last album recorded by Iain Burgess, founder of the legendary Black Box studio, and ‘Recreation’, recorded at Albini’s Electrical Audio with John Congleton) and over 700 concerts, not to mention the many side projects (La Colonie de Vacances, Spelterini, Claptrap…) that give this hyperactive trio even more to grind.
